Coast Forest provides a security program on the Fraser River to recover log inventories that have broken free, returning them to their rightful owners. This user pay program is utilized by 32 different companies who transport and store logs on the river.
Although much less common than in past decades, forest companies can still come under protest from industry detractors from time to time. These unfortunate occurrences have warranted a program of security for Head Offices and Annual General Meetings.
Coast Forest works closely with local police forces to provide the necessary security consultation and manpower requirements. Consultation services are also available for security and access considerations within the office environments. Seminars and training programs for hazardous mail and package deliveries are available for office staff. Most AGMs are held in locations away from head offices. Coast Forest can provide the required security consultation, manpower and services to make these events safe for those attending.
Rewards of up to $5,000 are coordinated by our security program to acknowledge individuals who provide information to law enforcement that lead to the apprehension and conviction of persons conducting criminal acts against member companies.
