Coast Forest Bids a Very Fond Farewell to Otto Schulte

otto-schulteAt the recent announcement of his upcoming retirement at the end of this year, Coast Forest Products Association would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Interfor’s Otto Schulte for his contribution to the coastal forest industry.  It has been a true honour working with Otto.

For years, Otto has been a tireless and effective advocate for the industry, building a reputation for providing a firm, informed stance on important issues.  His leadership on key files, committee work including his co-chairing the Coast Operational Issues Forum, and his recent direction on our own board of directors has moved the dial for the industry making it more efficient, competitive and modern.

The gap that Otto will leave when he retires in several months will be impossible to fill.  We will miss his quick smile, wit and the infectious enthusiasm he generated – especially when relaying stories about his many drag racing victories.  As he and his wife, Leslie prepare to embark on their next exciting adventure, we wish them the very best.
